How to use NotepadFor a Windows PC - Start >> Programs >> Accessories >> Notepad Open the file you want to edit. Cut and Paste to your heart's content using the cut, copy, and paste options under EDIT on the Notepad toolbar. NotePad is a text editor, so by default it wants to save your work as a text file (.txt extension). When you click 'save as' in Notepad, you are presented with the standard display and dialog boxes similar to that seen below:
Simply 'click' in the filename space and type the name of the file you want this work saved as AND add the .html extension to the filename to be sure it saves as an html file, not as a text file. You are finished. Now open the same file using your usual editor and do all that fancy WYSIWYG stuff. |
