maybe these will help Llamasery Co-operative Web Forum

How do I change a button to something else?

We're going to go step by step through a real example here. Let's suppose that you have the Bravenet GuestBook code on your site, so you have something that looks like this (it's not linked to anything, this is just a demonstration at the moment).

But your site colours are red and green, so you really want to replace those buttons with ones that fit your site colours better.

what an ugly button Step 1 is to find a replacement button. So you surf around and you find a page with this magnificent button. Well, someone might think it's magnificent, but it'll do for now.

If you already have the image you want to use as a link button saved on your own web space, click here ... otherwise, read on.

Now we need to save that to our computer

The instructions that follow are illustrated using screen shots from Internet Explorer. Netscape screens will be very similar, and I'm sure that if you use Netscape you'll be able to follow along. And the instructions also assume you are using a right-handed mouse. If yours is left-handed, please adjust these instructions (or view this page in a mirror).

properties Put your mouse over the image and click the right-hand button.

A menu like this pops up. Move your mouse down to properties and right click. Another pop-up appears. Among the information displayed (the properties of the image) is the width and the height of the image.

Write those numbers down on a piece of paper. You'll need them later.

Click on OK and both pop-ups will disappear. You are now ready to Save the image.
