Welcome to halfadot's help home
Over the past few years, halfadot developed a number of 'webmaster help' sites primarily for people new to the art of 'webmastery'. These help sites were scattered around in hyperspace, and only by luck would you find one from the other.
Well, we finally got around to consolidating most of those help sites in one place - and this is it.
The Help Sites
clik.to/cutnpaste The site with everything I know and have learned about the black art of cut and paste.
continue.to/hope The site that explains why you cannot stop people from viewing your code and copying your images - plus a few tricks that might slow down internet rookies.
clik.to/missing All about why the images saved on your 'free' site suddenly go missing when used elsewhere - and why.
clik.to/somewhere The very first 'help site' I ever built (repackaged to match these other sites). If you are a beginner, this isn't a bad place to start.
clik.to/forms All about using (Bravenet) e-mail forms. Explanations, tips, and 'tricks' to make them even more useful.
clik.to/faqs More stuff about Bravenet services you may not find on the BN site. Updated since some BN services have changed.
continue.to/speed A site devoted entirely to aspects of web design that can make your sites appear faster and keep your visitors happier.
Shades of Grey A site devoted entirely to colour: what it means, how it affects web design, how to choose the proper colour combinations for your web site, and more.
halfadot freehelp A collection of more advanced code and scripting "how to's" for web designers.
About the author
Just another internet junkie, doing this stuff since the mid-90s. If you are really interested in me - visit my personal site . If you want to know how I've spent my 'spare' time, I recommend you visit CommemorateWTC.com - a commemorative site in which I participated, or visit Llamasery.com - a co-operative web design forum where I moderate.
For high quality web design and development work, please visit our commercial design site at halfadot smallwebs
If halfadot smallwebs is my commercial site, why is all this stuff hosted at www.digitalmidget.com? A long time ago, I won a free domain name in a mini-contest. The name DigitalMidget simply appealed to my sense of humour, and now I use DigitalMidget as a 'test-bed' for a lot of my ideas, as well as using it as a commercial web site for offering very very small web sites at a very low cost - click here for a look.
Contact Me
You're quite welcome to contact me by using this form. Please don't ask for help - that's the whole purpose of these help sites: you can do it for yourself.
