Freeservers.com (which includes 8m.com)

Acceptable Use Policy - available from the 'home' page.

The following is a non-exclusive list of content and behaviors that are UNACCEPTABLE on FreeServers.com.

f. Storage of log files or non-html content, or any use of space that circumvents the display of advertising.

i. Binary files, downloads, etc. that are not linked to an html page on the users site, such that an advertising banner is displayed. Links back to files on a user's FreeServers page from other sites must also link first to an html page on FreeServers, which then links to the binary files.

What this means to me is that you can put as much as you want of whatever you want (up to 20 megabytes and subject to other terms of service) in your own personal space at a freeservers.com site. But - it is freely available only when viewing your pages at freeservers.com and not when the digital files are accessed from another server. Conditions also allow freeservers.com to terminate your account for misuse - presumably this could include attempts at 'remote loading'.
