The truth is in here ... somewhere

Counters come in many shapes, sizes, speeds (or lack of speed), reliabilities, etc..... but the one thing they all have in common is they count.

And some count a lot more than others.

You see my counter only once - on the 'splash' page (the first thing you saw when you came to my site). That means it only counted you ONCE. I could have put my counter on the main index (home page) and counted you every time you went there, but .... I actually wanted a counter that showed how many (few?) people had visited - and that's all.

What a loser I must be to visit a site that only attacted the webmaster's family!

This site is so good that zillions of people have been here already.

OR I put my counter on the main page so every person who came here would increase the count by eight or ten, plus I visit my own page at least 20 times a day :-)

Closer to the truth. A few people have been here - a few people even came back. Glad you could make it.

So ... now what do you think about counters?
